BARN HISTORY

A special find.  These barns were located in Gravette, Arkansas.  Gravette is a tight-knit community whose motto is “The Heart of Hometown America.”  The barns were built in the 1920's and used for the hog farm. They sold sausage and bacon directly from the barn.  Most recently they were used to show pigs to the local Universities to aid in learning.  

 

The barns were constructed with Oak and Spruce wood.  

This barn was located in Garfield, Arkansas.  A friendly and small community, population 500, in Northwest Arkansas.  The barn was built in the early 1900's.  It was used by a blacksmith to make, create and sell goods for the community and for personal use.
